Pumpkin Toothpaste???
Ms. Wilslef's class conducted an exciting experiment known as Elephant Toothpaste! This fun chemical reaction uses yeast and hydrogen peroxide, making it a perfect activity for the Halloween season!

Congratulations to Addison Humble for qualifying for state golf! We are so proud of you. Addie finished 50th after two rounds, marking an impressive season overall!

FCCLA Region 10 Meeting
A group of 40 Sparta FCCLA members attended the Region 10 meeting at SDC, where they explored the organization’s goals for the 2024-2025 school year. They heard from our regional officers and witnessed parliamentary procedure in action, all while enjoying some fun in the park. What a fantastic success!

Taping Ankle
Sports Medicine
Coach Wallace's Sports Medicine class has been learning how to tape ankles. They’re also exploring the use of KT tape, ACE bandages, and taping techniques for other areas. This new class, added this year to provide students with more options, has been a hit! Recently, when a student sprained their ankle, one of the class members even volunteered to tape it!

The students had their first experience in the kitchens! One day, they tackled a pasta sauce recipe, showcasing teamwork, problem-solving, and plenty of excitement. Dr. Gray even visited and got to be a taste tester! On another day, the students practiced scaling down recipes for one and made some delicious Rice Krispy treats!
 
Summit Conference Champions
Congratulations to our Lady Trojans Volleyball team for winning the Summit Conference Championship! They wrapped up the season with an impressive record of 21-8-3. Way to go, Lady Trojans!

Building Bridges
The MS Art class just completed an Aesthetics in Architecture Bridge Design project! Students created designs that met minimum construction specifications, were structurally sound over a 24-inch gap, and showcased unique visual appeal. We might have some future engineers in the making!
 
Going Bananas!
Our middle school kitchen staff—Terrie, Leeanna, and Jamie—have been working hard to bring some fun and encouragement to our students. One day, each student received a banana with a special message on it! What a thoughtful gesture!
